What car and what year was it that an F1 car (an Arrows or Minardi I think?) had the question marks on its sidepods? Or am I thinking of an IRL or Champ Car?

IIRC AGS 1990.

Get back to work you bum.

It was Williams in 1996 at the tobacco restricted races. They had previously replaced Rothmans with "Racing" in the same font, then began with the "?" and then "Ro?".

AGS didn't have enough money to have a "?" decal made.

IIRC, IRL is also a correct answer - Stephan Gregoire's car in early 1997, before the arrival of BlueStar Batteries as primary sponsor.
