SPEED says the Astons get less air restriction for more power AND lighter weight. Trubrit has to be liking this one! And only 37 cars for Sebring? Has there EVER been fewer?

Not the best grid numbers, but the good news is that most of the Sebring grid will be full-season entries. The next 2 races should have 4-5 additional cars joining the grid.

You can go to American Lemans website and read about all of the adjustments. Regarding AM, I think they were outside of some ACO rule last year and so had to use the smaller restrictor. I don't recall the details.

EDIT:

Two deal directly with GT1 entries. Aston Martin Racing's two DBR9s will compete with a minimum weight of 1,125 kilograms, the standard minimum for GT1 cars. That is 50 kilos lighter than was mandated by the ACO following last year's running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, due to changes in the car's aero package since the 24 Hours. That also is a reason for a larger air restrictor, which will allow more air into the engine and produce more horsepower.

Still don't exactly remember what changed.

I can't believe they picked Larry Crumdal over you.

Personally, I drew the Penske/Porsche #6 as my assigned car for the ALMS one car/one fan program. So I can't be too upset. :D

Poor guy. See, your Grandam cheerleading has pissed off the ALMS folks and this is their way of getting back at you.

Don't forget to wear your Hawaiian shirt to the races. ;)

So there are going to be over 100,000 cars racing at Sebring this year. Cool!

They're only there to party! Nobody cares about the race!
