What the heck is that? http://www.motorsport.com/news/article.asp?ID=210364

Whatever man, if Bobby Rahal wants to play the Arab card to land more sponsors, more power to him. But, racing for a country should be like playing for a country in the Olympics and soccer; once you play for a national team, you can't play for another one tomorrow.

Rahal knows exactly what he is doing.

1. Graham isn't getting anywhere near the USA A1GP car for years.
2. Team Lebanon is run by Carlin Motorsport (http://www.carlin.co.uk/) out of England and they are damn good at what they do. They run fBMW, British F3, Renault WS and A1GP. They run the Portuguese A1GP team as well.

So at the end of the day Graham is in A1GP right now with good people running the team. Who cares what flag is on the car, the kid needs all the open wheel seat time that he can possibly get.

Bobby Rahal may be a lounge lizard-looking weasel but he sure knows how to hook his kid up with rides in the feeder series.

This isn't anything new. Adam Khan is British but races for Pakistan.

What?!? How dare these furrin' road racers come in and take rides away from deserving Lebanese short trackers?! :flame:

You just don't know what Beirut means.

Ya, I guess that sums it up right there. Add you own conclusions, especially if you live in the UK, and put 2 and 2 together and there you have it!  :D

Beirut was the Paris of the middle east in the 70's, then it went to s****. Kind of like the Indy 500 actually.

Stuff like this is why the whole A1GP "national team" concept is just stupid.

Have you been following Olympic hockey? Half the Italian men's team are actually guidos.

It will be interesting to see how he does without the advantage of having Rahal/Letterman equipment, personnel, and money behind him while other teams are towing their cars to the track behind pickup trucks.

Does it really matter? They mention the names of the drivers so little in that series most people won't even know he's driving for them.
