Is that one of those hybrid alternative fuel vehicles?

I think I liked the Super Chief better when it was a train:

Do you really need another penis extension?

:D

I'd only buy one if it gets less than 5mpg and will also run on ground-up puppies.

I got to see it at the auto show, neat looking concept....

Is that one of those hybrids?

Yes. Ethanol, Gas and Hydrogen.

NBC had a 2 hour special on this afternoon, and it was all on the Detroit Auto Show. The Super Chief runs on 3 choices of fuel(as mentioned above), and gets its name from the train (mentioned above).

As a small penis compensation vehicle (Libby tapping in the background) it's pretty good. When I look for visionary innovations such as rear seat ottomans in a pickup truck, I always look to Ford and GM.

Tri-fuel would be a more interesting concept if all three were commercially available. Guess Bill Ford needs to run that hydrogen distribution plan by Exxon Mobil just for chuckles and burps...

The mirrors won't work. :gomer:

Not a fan, but then again, I dislike pickups in general.

you know who that is, right? You say family, but could be you're a groupie. :D Just bitter 'cause i couldn't get that damn tune out of my head for a month. Now I giggle like an idiot when the landscape contractor shows up in his yellow Hummer.

On the Super Chief, I suggest vanity plates that say either Bwana Dick or just Chief if there's not room.

Tha's my brother and his wife. She's pregnnt now though. It's hysterically funny what they do. They are both pretty nutty in a granola/yoga/jagermesiter abusing sort of way.

I mean, does YOUR sister-in-law tap dance in a gypsy sidewalk band with a Tuba and bearded guitar player? :saywhat:

My vote is for the EMD F3, the Super Chief with ATSF War Bonnet is one of the sweetest trains ever. The truck is just not doing it for me.

She sounds pretty easy to get along with compared to some stiff humorless shrew. When it comes to family I've never awarded style points for strict aherence to social convention... ;) Anyway, she'd probably laugh her tail off if you pulled up in that Super Chief barge and offered a ride...

That is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen.

It looks like someone took a sawzall to one of these

Then blew up up to 3x the normal size.

Well, she won't even park next to my current rig anyway. but this is what she drives. Got granola...? The reason she's got the only one left in Central Indiana is that they sold most of them here to replace the fleet of VW microbuses... :gomer: If I had a nickel for every time I've been stuck behind one going up a hill I'd be able to buy you a new refrigerator.

Here's some more funny Granola Logic:

They came to me about buying a "new to them" car. Since togther they drive about 30 miles a week total (they both live really close to their placew of employment), I suggested they lease as opposed to buy. Seriously, she puts about 5-8k miles on a year. And they only want a new vehicle so they can mini-van 3 kids around. My brother, reluctantly, traded in his 1987 200k+ miles Honda Civic. They gave him $1000 for it, he was proud and happy.

Now, you can lease a brand spankin new Honda Odyssey (this was what SHE HAD TO HAVE) for about $300 monthly.

"Not everybody needs new things every 4 years" ( a thinly veiled shot at me and my all new garage lineup) she told me. That was my clue to STFU, and my brother followed closely behind my lead.

So, they paid $17,000 for a 2001 45k Honda Odyssey. :shakehead

They paid CASH. :saywhat:

Why oh why would you ever put cash into a depreciating asset?

Well, if they only drive 8,000mi a year, and they have no problem putting 200k on the odometer, that's 19yrs worth 'o miles. So $17k over 19 years is about $900 a year. Plus they get a pink piece of paper. You didn't think of that, did you? :p

oh and the Super Chief reminds me of this...

and you guarantee there will be no repairs for 19 years? Plus, its already 5 years old, and a POS minivan.

didn't think of that did ya? :gomer:
