I was completely dumbstruck when I heard the news last night. He was a great actor on a show filled with great actors. And for playing such a serious role, the man had impeccable comic timing when it was needed.

I was really saddened by this. He was the heart of West Wing. Sharp, decisive, funny, ironic, but you always felt a kindness and a desire to do the right thing in his character. RIP John.
