About Paul Holmes
Half Manchester, half New York, Paul Holmes is breeching the gap in global pop music. Radio is comprised of either hip hop or bull **** rock, eg. Fall Out Boy, Killers(almost entirely due to payola to DJs from giant coporate labels run by scumbag businessmen who care more about afternoon prostitution followed by 4 star facemeals than anything remotely close to music), leaving a massive space between. Why not fill it with good. Let's fill it with something that in't black and in't white, in't rock and in't rap, and lastly in't false but in't real. What does that mean. Only I know so why don't you all suck my what this isn't paul holmees keep in mind ahh of course it is I'm the filter between God and mankind so suck my dick. ..

Sort of OT, but since I own this thread:

I thought you all should know about this great movie. Soundtrack = Epic. Skiing = Huck-0-matic. Really.

http://www.mountainattack.no/Filmfestival/Images/TBC_POWDER_AD_FINAL.jpg

The crew travels from unique backcountry features, super-sized park, kickers over half pipes, freeskiing in the Alps, Alaska and face shots in Utah. The intro was shot on 35mm film with a full rock video production crew in Oslo Norway, a just start for a ski film that is crawling out of the box with a new style and a fresh look at insane action.

And btw - I went ahead and got that new boat. :) NOW who wants to be my friend. :p

9 out of 10 times, if Pitchfork says its good, I run the other way. They get way too hard for really bland and/or crap bands.

pitchfork is totally hit and miss, then again, I never read their reviews... the columnists are probably more of an annoyance to me than Bob Stoops.

I just check the "what's new" section once a week to so I can find some new stuff to check out on my own.

Luverly! Xmas in the slammer!

;)

It was Christmas Eve babe
In the drunk tank
An old man said to me, won't see another one
And then he sang a song
The Rare Old Mountain Dew
I turned my face away
And dreamed about you

Got on a lucky one
Came in eighteen to one
I've got a feeling
This year's for me and you
So happy Christmas
I love you baby
I can see a better time
When all our dreams come true

They've got cars big as bars
They've got rivers of gold
But the wind goes right through you
It's no place for the old
When you first took my hand
On a cold Christmas Eve
You promised me
Broadway was waiting for me

You were handsome
You were pretty
Queen of New York City
When the band finished playing
They howled out for more
Sinatra was swinging,
All the drunks they were singing
We kissed on a corner
Then danced through the night

The boys of the NYPD choir
Were singing "Galway Bay"
And the bells were ringing out
For Christmas day

You're a bum
You're a punk
You're an old slut on junk
Lying there almost dead on a drip in that bed
You scumbag, you maggot
You cheap lousy faggot
Happy Christmas your arse
I pray God it's our last

and now for tonites bonus:

they got to the part with the cattle and the creeping things. they said i'm pretty sure we've heard this one before. don't it all end up in some revelation? with 4 guys on horses, and violent red visions famine and death and pestilence and war. i'm pretty sure i heard this one before. you in the corner with a good looking drifter. two cups of coffee and ten packs of sugar. i heard gideon saw you in denver. he said you're contagious. silly rabbit. tripping is for teenagers. murder is for murderers. and hard drugs are for bartenders. i think i might have mentioned that before.

i hate to correct the both of you, but i believe that the group that did it was the dave clark five.

it would be amazing if i were right, considering that i am a child of the 80s.

edit: upon further review, i see listings for both the dave clark 5 and the vogues doing that song. someone needs to do a little correcting unless they both did it, and if that's the case, i only heard the one the dave clark 5 have done, but i can say that the dave clark 5 is credited with the drew carey theme.
