Banks come and go, Bernie just keeps on....

yup, he's playing the banks like a fiddle. They buy him out at an outrageus price then bernie buys back in.

Bernie is definetely using the threatened split to ensure that the banks keep him in charge of F1.

Interesting article on the sale.

The more things change the more they stay the same. Bernie gets a big pay day, stays in charge and his adversaries are busy scratching their heads.

This sounds like nothing more than Bernie taking his money out of his left pocket and putting it in his right pocket.

Yes, but there is MORE in the right pocket now than in the left previously, with a raised potential for more to come. This is not voodoo economics.

Voodoo econ or sleight of hand, doesn't really matter. The little man pulled another fast one and is the richer for it. Meanwhile, the sport is facing the loss of major tracks, and a bare 20 cars make it onto the grid. Celebrate his ability to increase his wealth, but we're the poorer for it.
