From Mexico City Audio Round Table (http://www.champcarworldseries.com/News/Article.asp?ID=9809) -

RuSport, they're the ones that are going to have a huge announcement here soon. We shouldn't let it out of the bag here, but it's pretty impressive who they've lined up to be their sponsors next year I can tell you that.

 Wow.

Also some more Ganassi talk about 2007. Vasser's retirement probability. Da Matta's value. And More ! ! !

Fun to listen to upbeat news. That doom and gloom is in the distant past. (If Forsythe ISN'T going to run 3 next year, as Haas and Walker are rumored to be doing, talk is already saying he'll let 2 Lolas go so someone ELSE can) A 24 car grid in '07? Go CC!

My "bold" guess is it's Red Bull. Anyone else?

Yep. I would also really like to see Intel and CDW stick around too.

Yeah, I think the tech industry is a largely untapped market for sponsorship. If I were a sponsorship hound, I'd lean towards liquor, fast food, auto products, oil/petroleum and tech. I would have thought the MCI sponsorship of years past would have triggered others... :(

Agreed. I wonder if KK brought those sponsors to the table with his Silicon Valley connections? If so, (and if RuSport does get a new sponsor) does KK hand the sponsors over to a more needy team?

I don't know, Carl Russo may have his own connections: Bio (http://www.vital-ns.com/About_us/BoD_bios/C_Russo.htm)

Did anyone else notice what 'dinger did during his post race interview?

He pointed to the Red Bull logo on his water bottle - and then pointed to the logo on his baseball cap.

A little hint to the masses?

At first I thought so, but then it occured to me that he may have done that because he didn't get his usual plug in.

Yeah, I agree. I think he was too busy bashing (rightfully so) Tracy and forgot his standard plug.
