I heard that they are going to drive the hearse in reverse for the funeral procession. That way she won't be riding in the back.

In honor of a true heroine whose one simple act changed unjust laws.

Unfortunately, it appears there's still a long way to go to achieve the same change in attitudes.

From an interview done in the 50's:

"Weren't you afraid?"

I didn't feel afraid. I had decided that I would have to know, once and for all, what rights I had as a human being and a citizen, even in Montgomery, Alabama

Written, the words don't have the same impact as they do when you hear them spoken in her soft voice. She was a very courageous woman. RIP Miss Parks.
