Just got back from the Admirals game to find out that the WCHA got a WWE smackdown tonight. The Gophers lose to Fairbanks at home badly, dando's Buckeyes beat-up of Colorado College, Maine kills the champs Denver, St Cloud State gets shut out by Northern Michigan at home, and my Mavericks give up four power play goals and lose 4-3 in Paul Bunyan country. At least everyone else lost, so I don't feel quite so bad about losing to the Beavers. If this night is an indication of the rest of the season, there is gonna be some seriously close competition this year.
