anyone ever been?

i'm looking for info: what to do, what tix we'd need or should get, etc. we'd be coming with a motorhome and doing the infield bit (can you do that for the 24?). the web page doesn't seem to be very intuitive (basically, "here's what tickets are available, but we don't really know what they do or where you can go with them").

any insight would be appreciated. thx.

This year was my first time. I went as working media (after having been to the Daytona 500 and Pepsi 400 once apiece as a civilian) and stayed at the Best Western Mayan Inn on Ocean Ave., about a ten minute drive from the track (right next to the Ocean Deck restaurant, which is a must-do). Both establishments were just about the only businesses in that immediate neighborhood which weren't still shuttered from hurricane damage.

RV's are allowed (unlike the recent Phoenix GA race I went to), based on my infield photos and video, but I don't know the specifics of arranging that.

To whet your appetite:
Frisselle Brothers/Synergy Racing video (http://www.racingpress.com/videos/rolex1.wvx)
Johnny Unser/Robinson Racing video (http://www.racingpress.com/videos/unservideo.wvx)

To get the REAL flavor of being at the Rolex, you need to wait for the Ten Motorsports video (finished but not yet posted), then sit through all 26 minutes of it... ;)

For a variety of reasons, most of my photos are still offline.

i'd try calling them for ticket info.

Ticket Office at (386) 253-RACE (7223) between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. daily.

Yeah, that's it.

You should see/hear the parts I edited out. ;)

The last time I went was when my son was running.

Call them, I'm sure they'd help.
