For those who might not know, wikipedia is a free online encylopedia edited by the readers. I'm not quite clear on the details, but it's an interesting and very comprehensive project.

I happened to click on the ChampCar entry and it's pretty good and up to date, but there are some odd bits to be found such as...

Champ Car, like its predecessor USAC, was dominated by North American drivers until the 1980s when former Formula One drivers like Mario Andretti, Bobby Rahal, and Danny Sullivan competed.

 Dang furriners!

Perhaps some of us should learn the system and try to clean some of this stuff up.

All ya gots to do is click "Edit" - and you can change whatever you think is incorrect, needs updating or could be expanded. That's the beauty of the Wiki.

You can either do it anonymously, or you can sign up to track all your edits and pages. I recommend signing up, but beware, it gets addictive ;)

I see someone has sanitized the Wiki entry on the IRL. About a year ago there were some pretty funny comments included. Who knew the gomers would figure out how to edit it.

This site is pretty funny too. Just add your definitions to words. There are several IRL related but I won't mention names.

I wondered about this. Amazing everything you can learn just by hanging out with this group!

I've read a few items (none about Champ Car) and they are only about 75% correct. It's like having a comprehensive, alphabetized newspaper list. As in, you can't believe everything you read in the papers either. ;)
