Some time ago I purchased "PDF Converter for Word" (version 1) from eBay. It is an add-in for Word, which allows you to open PDF files and convert them to Word files.

It works okay, but is not perfect. I am on the Board of our condo corporation and find this utility useful. I sometimes locate a PDF file on the Internet that we could use with some tweaking. This program allows us to convert the PDF file to a Word document, which we can then modify. Saves a ton of typing.

I'm thinking of upgrading to the newest version (http://www.scansoft.com/pdfconverter/standard/). Before I do that, just wondered if anyone has experience with other related products. Anything out there that is more reliable?

Thanks in advance.

Ted

My wife uses a stand alone product called ABBYY FineReader Pro. It's very robust and works well.

I've never purchased the one you mentioned. I've been using PDF2Word from VeryPDf (http://www.verypdf.com/pdf2word/index.html). The trial version gives you 100 uses and I've still got a lot left.
It works well.
