Out of the blue, some guy starts asking me if I want to join a team that he is assembling to work on improving the mileage of his Accord. He wants to pitch the idea to some venture capitalists.

Any of you geeks out there have access to some good technical info on how current state of the art hybrids work? The more techie the more good. I ain't afraid of no differential equations!

Thanks.

Here's a 45mpg non-hybrid Accord, right off the showroom floor.

Coming never to a dealer near you!

Here (http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/08/15/hybrid.tinkerers.ap/index.html) is a story I remember seeing on CNN last month. This guy added more batteries to his Toyota Prius and claims 80 MPG.
