Here are a few pics of the disputed walkways near the Moore College of Art. They include the "outdoor cafe" that Happy spoke of and a few views of the nearby fountain and street.

The Parkway is a winner location-wise. Great views, numerous hotels nearby, a decent track layout. And the "problems" would be all easily resolved.Sorry I could not pop a few more but the kids missed their naps, etc. ;)

The so-called Outdoor Cafe that would be disrupted:

Champ cars to make a left onto the smaller "Race Street" (actual name!) in front of Moore College. The Franklin Institute Science Museum is directly to my back. The red brick building is the Academy of Natural Sciences.

Logan Square Fountain, around which the cars will run to return back to the Art Museum area.

The Cafe' does have that "Sexy" French feel to it

Three Tables sharing an umbrella is very inviting also....

Considering it's an "ART SCHOOL" , you'd think they'd put more thought into it !! ;)

Like I said Moore is the Ugliest Building in on the Parkway !

God forbid we upset the 12 people that sit at those tables ....

Let's see $ 50 million dollar weekend or $100.00 bucks in Coffee & Danish sales ;)

Can't imagine what I'd choose!!

This will NOT stand in the way of actual improvements that will funnel millions into the city coffers...don't worry, be happy...Champcars and fireworks, 2 of my favorite things! :D

Put a chicane around it. Problem solved.

Anchor the chairs down and you've got the best seat in the house!

(my block party had a more impressive outdoor cafe last wkend in my front yard.)

That is not a French café!!! I mean, even Philly could rustle up three dudes in black turtlenecks and berets pretending to be poets while thinking that they could pick up chicks!

Someone needs to inform Philly that THIS is how you do a cafe!

We just have to teach "Happy Fernandez" how you do a Sidewalk Cafe ...

Philly has quite a few of the Real thing Cafe's peppered around the City ! Actual Restaurants ... Not Hot Dog Stands with Lawn Furniture that Happy is trying to pass off !

Looks like three lesbians, a couple of hippies who have been in grad school for 15 years and a few bums will have to sip mud somewhere else for a few days. BFD.

Only an art school would see a problem with their precious cafe. Everyone else would just move the charis to the top of the stairs and sell tickets to alumni. What a buncha maroons.

Hahahahahaha!... just try to buy a seat, or get a table on race day. :)

Those people have been there since forver began and all have mega-bucks or are a friend of the royal family, or somehow otherwise very very connected somehow.

Sure would be cool to be there, though.

Could you imagine getting that close to the track at a Champ Car Race ??

Monaco's "Insurance Risk" must be negligable !

Thats why artists starve and business people have money.
