They really must be afraid of losing to Milka Duno. :gomer:

By all accounts, the car's been both ridiculously fast and fragile in testing, so this isn't terribly surprising. It's possible they could be at Laguna, but they'd probably be better served to hold off 'til Sebring.

So...Porsche pulled out, not Penske, right? Tough race to make a debut, but Sebring will be any easier? I just wonder if it's because the car in testing has proven to be too fragile, or too fast!? Oh, well, a couple of Aston's are back, correct?

PS...losing to Duno, or getting hit by her?

Porsche made the call. Sebring won't be an easier race, but they'll have several more months of testing and development on the car. I had predicted that, at PLM, it would be far faster than the other P2s before failing far more spectacularly than any other P2 this year. By debuting at Sebring instead, they may just be far faster.

A couple of Astons, a couple of Zyteks, a Dallara or two, at least 1 more Saleen, and some other possibilities.

That's what ALMS needs...more possibilities.

So its fragile. Welcome to the P2 class.

They'll need an invite.

Kinda my point. To get an invite you need to do well at PLM or Sebring. I see Sebring being a much tougher test of a "fragile" car. I guess no Le Mans in '06.

Who is to say the factory Porsche team wouldn't get invited?

They aren't French.

All the more reason for the ACO to surrender and allow the Porsche in.
