Once again the "great" Sham Hornish couldn't get the job done.

He lost two positions (Rice, Herta) on the first corner and spun out and of course Penske's blaming mechanical problems.

Sham said it might be the clutch. I think it was the chap behind the wheel.

You may be a good oval driver Sam, you may even occasionally qualify well when turning right, but the real deal is the race and sorry, you don't have and you never did.

You can still try and improve and get in people's way like you did 24 laps down. But let me guess, you were running for points then weren't you?

If the Earl can find a high banked road course where all Sham has to do is floor it and steer perhaps he'll do better. But unfortunately there aren't many bobsled tracks big enough for a car.

What was missed by TV: Sam spun, then tried to do a burnout to turn around and spun himself backwards, then tried to do it again, and spun himself around the wrong way. Then he got going. It was pretty funny.
