Are both you guys looking at the same race?

Practice, the field covered by one second. 32 to 33 seconds
Qualifying, the field covered by one second. 20 to 21 seconds

A ten second difference for everybody? That does not sound right.

I pulled stats from indycar.com. Apparently they had bad numbers posted and corrected them after I copied them. 10 seconds is just a time increment!

Speaking of ol' AJ, this one comes from the "He didn't think this one through too well" file.

AJ broke his contract with Ta-yota to go to Chevy. Chevy is gone for next year so he has no engines. This means he has to go back to Ta-yota if they'll take him, or try to get engines from Honda as if Honda would want their name on that schlock outfit of a team.

Good thinking AJ.

The air isn't quite as thick up in Colorado as it is back here in Southeast Texas. Poor ol' Sammiches brain doesn't work quite as well at altitude. . . . or maybe the bee stings still smart and he couldn't sit down to think . . .

now THAT is a stratgey for the Foytility team to employ at this furrin devil road racin' thang.....

Qualify well in the back (no problem there!) and wait for the "Big One" in T1 on the first lap (cuz these guys are gonna know that you wont be able to pass on the track in these "equally prepared" road goin' PIGS) and once the carnage has ensued, "Buckman" will be in the top 10 through attrition.

AJ Foyt Racing = "Top 10 through Attrition" is their motto !!!

Watching the telecast, this appears to be the same corner where Busch tried the same foolish manuever on Pruett (driving for Chip, who obviously didn't teach Briscoe well after this fact) and J. Burton in the '03 Cup race and, unlike today's mere 3-car wreck, caused a superspeedway-style Big One (much to my award-winning delight shooting away outside the corner).
