I've been to Mid-Ohio many times (although it's been a few years) and I think I remember camp fires in the camp ground. The information I just got from the track said no camp fires allowed on the ground, they have to be self contained.

Has anyone been this year? Is this a recent rule change? Do they enforce this?

Thanks!

Last time I camped we had a nice fire. Call back and ask what "self-contained" means to them. It could mean as little as a circle of flat rocks or an old steel wheel.

I use a steel washtub on a couple concrete blocks.

That's been a rule for a long while. I take an old weber grill and put it on the ground.
