I e-mailed D3 inquiring about the circuit status, and they were generous enough to take the time to share these pictures with me!

Thanks guys.

Thanks jono!

But wait, a world renowned Champ Car expert at another forum has stated that this race will not happen.

Well in truth that's what motivated me to ask... I thought it was pretty clear from the news releases, the 2006 schedule, etc. that Ansan would be a "go" this year. Figured I'd check with people who had to know, and to my surprise they actually responded. :)

Where's the grandstands, garages and, umm, buildings? And are they going to leave those barriers there? What is this, the first natural terrain street course?

Not just a go. It's a "go go go".

Someone claimed that Ansan was cancelled last year. Wasn't it really an entirely different proposed venue that was cancelled?

IIRC last year was supposed to be a street race.

And that kind of jumping the gun is why there are no TBAs on the current officila 2006 schedule.

Everytime I check that site I find another gem, first there was the "rich meat and vegetable filling", now this:

"When the Green flag & dropped the official yells to the drivers".

Who needs Babblefish?
