That's IT...I'm sitting on the patio with the camera around my neck!...this thing is so low I don't have time to grab the digital, turn it on and run out on the driveway before it's too late!...Must be doing those $400 rides up and down the valley. I think my house is on their target list!

Absolutely, warbirds are  Had a B17 & a B25 do flyovers here awhile back...very cool. Talked to a gentleman at a static display who was around 80. He had been a navigator during two tours in WWII on a 17 ...it was one great chat while he looked at the aircraft with his wife telling some old stories and answering my questions.

Not unless there are two and they're racing. Which is not to say that it's not a topic worthy of discussion.

It always gives me chills to see an old warbird in the air. Hope they can keep them flying.

GOT 'em! About 7PM the 17 returned followed shortly thereafter by a B-24. God, no wonder so many of these things got shot down...how could you miss!? Daylight?...Low-level!...Anyone read "Ordinary Heroes"? (Ambrose)...the kids who won WWII, amazing stories....like Dole's and McGovern's.

I used to live near Mount Hope airport outside of Hamilton Ontario where the CWH Lancaster flys out of, (http://www.warplane.com/). A couple of times on the way to work or coming home it would buzz me as it came and went. Nothing like four Roll's Merlins to get your attention as it flys a few hundred feet over your head! Hey, coffee stains come out anyway :) .

By "got 'em" do you mean you got pictures???

I think those same two planes tour the country. Every Memorial Day there is a B-17 and a B-24 at Livermore, CA and they fly over my house. They are low enough to see the pilot's face!

We've got an airshow at our rinky dink airport here in Rockford, IL, this weekend. Sitting on our deck watching an F-15 and P-38 practically holding hands right now. Pretty darn cool. :)

Awesome. My girlfriend lives in Byron and we never saw any planes until Sunday afternoon, when we got to watch one of the fighter planes do its thing for about 5 minutes as we drove east on the US 20 Bypass. Damn, that thing was exhilarating!
