It does take a modicum of talent and some luck to exploit The Call. These two seem short of both.

I've got my answer.

Buddy looked to be headed onto the "never was" list pre-split in my book. It's not like he was doing anything of note or interest in the third rate rides his dad was arranging for him. On the other hand, guys like Tracy and Vasser made the most out of less well prepared and underfunded cars they got into for their early CART races.

Tomas Enge was sent to the hospital for an MRI after wrecking early in the race complaining of back pain. Early word is fractures of the L1 and T12 vertebrae.

Another "classic" IRL gearbox first hit apparently, with the usual results.

Now what the heck was with that move AJ made into that other car, (I can't remember). The in car showed him moving to his left, his wheels almost interlocking with the other car, and almost taking the other car out. Wouldn't the spotter have been yelling the trademark IRL word inside way before and during then???? Can't you see out of these cars at all? Sheer stupidity.

Does their constant mention of SAFER barrier combined with broken back after broken back instill any confidence in the barrier or the safety of the IRL? It seems the "it would've been worse without it" argument just shows how unsafe the IRL chassis really is. No wonder Mikey and Adrian retired quickly.

It seems with the sidepods, whatever that thing is called in the cockpit and the HANS it's hard to see anything besides what's in front of you.

I'm confused by how long it takes for a driver to get out of today's OW car? Shouldn't they be able to get out faster than that?

How long until IV takes out their golden egg?

Probably by the end of this season.

With all the mileage that the IRL/ESPN has been getting out of Danica this year, it really would not suprise me if later this year we had a "Danica and (Insert Fiancee Name Here) Get Married" type of show on ESPN or ABC.

Franchitti must've gotten the only good suspension to come out of the AGR shop this week, considering his teammates all dropped due to broken suspensions. I thought it odd that the three out of the race were standing around in Franchitti's pit watching. It seemed like they were all forced to be there, in a sort of made for TV moment.

And next week's AJ Foyt 225 - does that refer to Foyt's weight or to the number of cars IV has wrecked in his IRL career? ;)

I think it was.

Anyway, this surprises who? He only has a ride b/c of his name. Talent need not matter here. On top of that, 'ole Sammich doesn't have an engineer. Next thing you know, Eye-Vee can't get out of his own way. :gomer:

Apparently not Matsura's fault. As the line of cars was pulling down onto pitlane to avoid the accident, a service truck pulled out in front of Matsura. He apparently had nowhere to go.

I wasnt aware Dr. Jack was still driving in the IRL.

I thought it odd that the three out of the race were standing around in Franchitti's pit watching. It seemed like they were all forced to be there, in a sort of made for TV
On WindTunnel Dave DePain was sure to mention this as a sign of how "close" the team is. I think this was after Kanaan said he thinks Wheldon is the sexiest driver.

*Special Futility Update*

AJ4 will also be racing a Silver Crown car at Milwaukee. That is going to be good!
