Even before last weekend's tire fiasco, there were rumblings that Bridgestone was about to pick up at least one new client for 2006.

Red Bull's agreement to use Ferrari engines next year will likely see the team switch to the Japanese tire maker as well, providing added support to Ferrari who are currently carrying out all the testing and development for Bridgestone.

Now comes word that Williams F1 may be considering a switch as well. Sources close to the team say it's a done deal and all that's missing is official confirmation.

If the Michelin defections are confirmed, it would give Bridgestone five teams - Ferrari, Jordan, Minardi, Red Bull and Williams - and Michelin five teams - McLaren, Sauber, Toyota, BAR-Honda and Renault.
