So even WITH a chicane, Michelin still would not have been safe? I guess
Michelin and their teams KNEW that the FIA or Ferrari would never agree to a chicane and the chicane idea was just a large PR move to make Ferrari and FIA look like the bad guys.

Said Red Bull Racing driver David Coulthard, one of the 14 Michelin-shod drivers: "I feel terrible. I have a sick feeling in my stomach. I am embarrassed to be a part of this. I wish we could have found a solution that had us out here on the racetrack."

I wish a few other team owners and drivers had cared enough to express themselves like this. :saywhat:

Like said tonight on WindBag, M never accepted responsibilty for the problems, and their proposals were pretty much window dressing. And don't look past the looming war in '07 and beyond. :shakehead

I don't think I'm going to put much stock in a Bridgestone driver's comments.
