The WiFi should be cool for those with devices that can take advantage of it. Not a huge sponsorship check from Intel, only $25,000, but CCWS has their attention. Perhaps that can be built into something bigger. Going after the tech community in creative ways is a very good idea.

Sweet. They need to set it up at Cleveland too so I can harass you guys on my laptop from the track.

Lugging a laptop along on a hike around PIR probably isn't going to happen for most folks, but a PDA with Race Director sounds good.

I had heard that something was in the works with Intel, but it was a conversation that I wasn't supposed to hear, and it wasn't a done deal yet, so I bit my tongue! I'm glad to see that it's gone through.

Backpacks with computers at the track...? No wonder you guys don't get any action. ;)

WiFi addition will spawn a new breed of race-bloggers :gomer:

would be nice when one can access live timing etc...

hey, at times I like to pretend I can grow facial hair, alright? :p No problem, just get a pair of heavy duty golf shoes to go with the heavy duty 'spenders. Great look with a pair of shorts and some Oakleys....
