Great Atlantics field this year. Rocky Moran should have won the race in a C2.

Did Katherine pass Rocky for the lead BEFORE he broke...or WHEN he broke???

Danicle who?? Wow, quite a field size for a series many were saying was all but dead.

According to Robin Miller...

Legge dove under Rocky Moran Jr. at the hairpin with three laps remaining to take the lead and then held off pole-sitter Antoine Bessette to take the checkered flag in her debut in Champ Car's feeder series.... "I got a little lucky when Rocky had his problem (gearbox) but I can't thank my crew enough. They worked all night to repair my car after I crashed going for the pole on Saturday."

apparently she's not afraid to get rude with the boys. she was pretty aggressive for a first year, first race rookie. Good race today, the top 3 were nose to tail for the second half of the race with several passes for the lead.

The pole time was about 1 sec slower than last years. Also of note is that Polestar (Legge and Bessette's team) is the only team left over that had a podium finishing car last year.

The field does kind of suck this year, but I'm glad she won a race, not Danica.

Actually Legge got by Rocky on the inside of the T10 lefty, just before the hairpin. Splitting hairs perhaps, but nonetheless it was a bold move that paid off for her. People in GS 18 know. It was awesome, baby!

On the other hand, what was she thinking trying to pass on the outside of T1 on L1?

Someone seems a bit upset that a woman won...

Would you feel any better if I told you she beat JV? :D

But it's been a lifelong ambition of mine to be sitting in this spot. Champ Car is my aim and Toyota Atlantic is the best platform to get there."
.... I like her already.

And winning in Atlantics isn't necessarily the best way to get to Champ Car...

Good for her.

She's already better than Danica and Sarah F.

That alone should put the Lemmings in another uproar. I wonder when the conspiricy theories will abound.

It actually was a catastrophic wheel bearing failure, not gearbox. More to follow.

It actually was a catastrophic wheel bearing failure Geez, hope his sponsor wasn't NTN... what an embarrassment that would be. ;)
