I hope they leave the forums to the "professionals." , I didn't even get to SEE the last attempt! (How long did that last?)

Hours.

Several.

Not sure what they thought they were doing without having an iron-hand moderator handy.

I look forward to seeing the new look of the site. I hope they don't change too much. I really like it the way it is.

The forum that was up at Champ Car was put online by mistake. There will be a new forum with experienced people as mods. The forum will feature a "ask a question of Dr. Dyno" and a race control insider report which will like a blog.

This should be cool.

The new page is up. Looks nice. A bit busy, but change is good. I like the carbon fiber background.
Very professional.

A bit busy

That is my initial reaction as well. Have to give it a few days to see if it grows on me.

The forum is back

I have to agree with R2C....

It's very busy....

Do we really need 3 different sized ads on the front page for the online store?

Tone it down a bit, and it should be perfect.... JMHO, of course.

Initially I like it, but it'll take me a few days to get used to it, and put to it through its paces.

I hope they get a spotters guide up soon. Site looks nice though I've only spent a few minutes there.

Yup. I was just about to post a note about that. Looks like previously registered handles aren't valid either.

I'm guessing that those will rotate e.g. displaying race reminders, online store ads, race director ads etc, eventually.

Perhaps a little busy, but I enjoy the new, enhanced features on the site. All in all, an upgrade

It doesn't look all that different. But the changes are too video gamey for me. This is not a video game. It's about people.

Blah. Too busy. Looks too much like a NASCAR site. In a strange way it looks kind of half finished.

I do like the fact that both on the web site and in their commercials Champ car is claiming their history.

But the new forum should run fine.
Terri and Augie from DonWeb are running the show :)

Oh wow! way too much information in too small of a space for a front page of a "professional" web site. Hope that this is just an experiment. It took me about 5 minutes to find what I was looking for.

I must be the only one who doesn't think its an information overload.

I guess I'm finally putting that ADD to good use

Nah, I see promise in the design (altho I'm not sure it needed much improvement anyway). I like the info right on top (as opposed IC.com). Could be better organized with a few less graphics, and perhap expanding the top feature area.

Overall, I'd give it a B.

One addition I do like are the news headlines from other sites. Now that's a really useful feature.
