My son has been saving his bucks to buy the 1/18th scale Bourdais die cast, but of course Speedgear and every other site I found is now sold out.

I found one on ebay for $70 but that's out of his budget. Poor guy is heartbroken.

Anyone know a source?

Does anyone know if someone is going to make accurate 2005 CCWS die casts?

They probably did a limited production due to the "Who the heck is Bourdais factor"

If they're sold out they might do another run?

Though it ain't a die-cast, you can probably save yourself $70 on another Bourdais model car. It will just cost you a brown nose. :gomer:

Action's been using the 2000/2001 moulds for the Champ Cars. The small number of sales in 99 didn't justify making new moulds for the cars so it will have to be a new company if you want new moulds.

So, who's rumored to be making this new mold?

yep. the 2000/2001 molds are lolas, just before the hump in the sidepods came in '02. the 99's are all reynards (although the 1:43's were available in lolas, reynards, and even andretti's swift) the fluegels (sp?) in front of the back wheels are the giveaway.

Actually the humps first appeared in '01. Action never did an '01 Lola mold.

Now this is how a Bourdais McDonald's Lola should be done...and no, you can't buy it for $70.

He really knows his conversions...

he did an awesome job on PT's "KOOL" car from 2002. After the livery change.

That may be a replica, but it's not a diecast... :D

For me, it was impossible to miss from the very first pre-release photo I saw, even though the dealer bent over backwards to not identify what chassis it was.

Is this Paul Tracy 1/18 new or what?

And is it a Lola?

No.

It's a reynard.
