Bleh. My crappy team finished its year this week with a 9-17 record, thus assuring that I'll never belong to a college with a decent sports team.

If you look at teams that go on to win championships - a loss to an inferior team just before the "playoffs" almost always makes them better in the long run.

When teams win too much, they get cocky. A pre-tournament reality check is a good thing. Much better to get it before the tourney, than in the tourney.
