Did anyone else watch the Oscars? Well, I guess I didn't really "watch." I Tivoed them and fast forwarded through everything I wasn't interested in. It took me about an hour to watch the whole thing.

Hillary Swank should have had someone dress her because it looked like she put her dress on backwards. Salma looked amazing as usual. After she was on I lost interest.

Yeah, Salma's not bad, I guess.

Hillary Skank should have starred in Sea Biscuit.

Yep, Salma looked awesome, as usual.....

But I'm kinda liking the future of Emmy Rossum....

The wife called me in from the garage when Salma came out for her presentation.....needless to say I was finished working on the bikes after that. Concentration gone.........

Chris Rock: "the four most prominent presenters tonight"

Selma and "Penny-lopey" should present every award.

I also heard that old dude from The Electric Company (http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/ShowMainServlet/showid-2402/) got an award. Whoda thunk they'd be givin' out Oscars to PBS kiddie shows?

What I always get a kick out of is that when actresses or actors win often it's all they can do to put a coherent sentence together. But when a behind the scenes person wins, someone with no performing experience at all is up there, they give lucid, smooth, clear, and poised speeches.

Go figure.

I think that Chris Rock was right. He said there are only four real actors in Hollywood. The rest are just popular people.

That is because the behind the scenes folks are not acting. Those people, the actors and actresses, live such fake lives and are continuously trying to be someone or something that they aren't that they end up treating an awards ceremony like it was an audition.

I don't like fake people and I am certainly not going to watch them pat themselves on the back.

FOscar and the academy it rode in on. :D

Snitchy.com?

FWIW, I thought Selma looked smokin' as usual, but I don't have any problem with Hillary Swank. I thought she looked great.

Personally, I've always liked Virginia Madsen. She's gained some weight in the last 20 years, but I still like her.

I actually watched the show....except for the first half hour. I don't remember the last time I watched the Oscars, maybe the late 80's. For the first time I actually saw four of the nominated movies, Ray, Aviator, Maria Full of Grace and the Motorcycle Diaries, plus I have an interest in anything to do with Colombian women so of course I had to watch so I could see Catalina Sandino! I'm disappointed Scorsese lost out again but I've always liked Clint Eastwood. Wow...both Penelope and Salma speaking with their very sexy voices....I could just lie down between them and hear them speak to me......Here's my lady of the evening Catalina.....she's only 23 so her mom is still hot too!!!! (Go back and rewind the DVD during the best actress part and you'll see her and her mom)

I actually WATCHED the Oscars. I was hoping for some surprises, but I didn't think there were any. I am glad Cate Blanchett won, I like her. And for Finding Neverland winning best original score. I never saw the movie (I want to), but from the previews I saw the soundtrack sounds awesome.

Why I love Colombianas: (more of Catalina Sandino at the Oscars) (and that's her mom in the background in pic 2)
