Ok, so this Korean event looks a little more firm than the last one. 1000 people at the groundbreaking would beat most IRL qualifying sessions and any event that kicks off with up-skirt shots has got something going for it. Is it rude to read the Vice-Mayor's quotes in pidgin english? :)

The track might be ok, if it's as wide as a Cleveland runway. Looks too much like another Monterrey to me. The long straight may provide a passing opportunity if the curved entry is wide ala Denver.

One way or the other it's all about exposure..;)

The Pacific rim deal might be the future if played right, or it might just be an entertaining diversion while the series regroups.,.

time will tell

It's all good. With my CCIC member discount, I figure it will cost less than $10,000 for my family to attend the race. I don't like dogs anyway.

I emailed my nephew when I saw that this race seems to be real now. He's a mechanic in the US Army somewhere in South Korea. He wrenched for a local sprint car team before he enlisted and wants to be a Hummer mechanic or get back into racing somewhere when his tour is over.

Anyway, I guaran-dam-tee you he will be there if he can get a day or two off. He'll probably take his wife, who you know will be hooked as soon as she sees a Champ Car for the first time. Chalk up one new future fan (nephew already is one).

Wonder what the deal is with that carousel turn?

The turn? To slow down these 750 hp 200+ mph racing beasts, so the people can actually see them go by...and to get the track up to a 2 mile length?

Those boots look they were made in Korea! :)

I wonder if the fans answer to the turkey leg is the cooked dog leg? :gomer:
