I have not read these yet, although a quick scan seems to indicate the coverage is positive, but here is a link to some stories in the St Pete paper.

In one of the columns in St Pete's paper this gem appears.

"The other day, I asked Hunter-Reay the different between CART and NASCAR drivers.

"James Bond drives these cars," Hunter-Reay said. "Hulk Hogan drives NASCAR." "

It is interesting that some of the local businesses didn't get all of the business they had hoped for, mostly because the track was allowed to start selling beer at 9AM, while they had to wait until 1PM.

Then there's the folks who watched from outside the track, through a hole in the tarp. It sounds like a bunch of them enjoyed the "free view" enough that they want to buy tickets for next year.

The glowing press from St. Pete really is awesome!
