Seven more lost this day in 1986. January is a tough month for NASA. But we only can only carry on and learn from the mistakes, in this case management triumphed over engineering with catastrophic results.

One of my saddest days ever. :cry: I remember watching it live, knowing something was terribly wrong, while Mission Control continued reading off telemetry numbers. I still have much of the coverage on video tape.

space exploration is risky. hope they start flying again soonest.

Tenth grade third period science class. Watching live. The girls openly crying with all of us in shock. It was all we talked about for a week which is saying something for tenth graders. I'll never forget it. Like it was yesterday.
