AR1 says it spotted Little Al in St. Pete having dinner with Mini Al, Shelley, Shelley's new fiance and Dede Rogers from DSTP. I know the relationships there had been strained at best in the past. I hope they are patching things up.

Hope not. He needs to develop and put up some results first, not fast track himself to CART.

why else would he be hangin' with Dede Rogers?

Learning tricks from Joey Hand rather than his dad?

That boy is on the fast track whether he is ready for it or not.

It maybe that its easier for a kid to take advise from a third party then his dad.

I almost blew Labatt's out of my nose when I heard that. I guess Mini Al doesn't know what Indy means.

OK. so when does Marco join in on the fun? Can you imagine the pressures and comparisons!? Mike and Al were up to it, I hope these kids are, too!

I think he has just turned or will turn in the next several weeks 16 so he can now participate in several series.

I would guess Marco would do the National Championship, and maybe some season ending Pro Series races

Marco was quoted somewhere saying he was going to do his first racing in cars this year in one of the Barber Dodge Regional series. He also talked about following the CART ladder. I wonder if Marco will be the first driver to follow the "complete" CART ladder, from Stars of Tommorrow all the way up.

I think Hunter Rheay is. Stars wasnt around when he started but he did get one of the karting scholarhips. Then won regional, then won national, then Pro Series, then Atlantics, now CART.

They've already had a couple of serious accidents and there's very little to be learned from running them on a high banked oval.

(Formula Dodge) National Championship

Mea Culpa. Clearly Skippy should have trademarked "Pro Series". :)

Having just fought off the urge to make an Al Jr. wisecrack in the other "IRL at St. Pete" thread I think it would be appropriate to add here that I hope Al Jr's presence with Mini Al and his Mom means that Al is genuinely getting his life sorted out. I was skeptical after his super-brief rehab, but this sounds like a positive sign.
