Hayseed Dixie (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/104-3353015-3983117)

Ever wanted to hear a bluegrass band cover the songs of AC/DC, Bad Company, Aerosmith, and Ted Nugent? These audio clips out to get at least a smile out of most of you. It would just be farce except these guys are truly great players and clearly love the music they are covering. Seems like a perfect last minute gift for that NASCAR brother-in-law that's hard to buy for.... :gomer: :gomer: :gomer: :D

I've been playing their stuff for a couple of yeas now at my shows, very funny but very talented. One of the band members' Father was actually the guy who wote Dueling Banjos from Deliverance.

Sometimes this stuff can be really good.

I hang out with some folk musicians round town here..... one of them, Len Wallace (http://worldaccordion.tripod.com/index.html) does this kick ass version of Takin' Care of Business with his accordion.

I'll look around to see if I can find some hayseed...

Yep, hard rock on an accordian is a hoot. I've heard some over the years and always enjoyed it. The only name acts that do any are Mellencamp's band and Bruce Hornsby.

My ex played Hendrix on the bagpipes on occasion, and I recall hearing her play "Love or Confusion" while standing on Otter Rock during a driving storm with the surf crashing and wind raging. She also did a nice job on "Whiskey Before Breakfast" which is a hard tune on the pipes.

LoL

I can't decide whether that's the funniest line I've ever read or the "cause and effect" statement made in the divorce proceedings.
