In an expected follow-up to their purchase of engine specialists Cosworth, Champ Car majority co-owners Kevin Kalkhoven and Gerry Forsythe have agreed to buy electronics arm Pi Group from Ford.

So what's next? A chassis manufacturer? :)

This is very interesting. Pi has its fingers in motorsports all over the world - including karts.

Interesting indeed. This page: http://www.piresearch.com/ appears to show all the series they are involved in. Even the earl.

Agreed. Anything to annoy them.

Yep, that's usually my litmus test. Seems they may be a tad upset (even astounded) that the self-proclaimed king of 'mericun openwheel is being outmaneuvered.

But I think only for the ChampCar chassis. I think all the molds and stuff are probably over here in the States, while the facilties nd the rest went elsewhere.
