Ok, let me see if I get this right. Some rich Russian dude wants to start an F1 team called Midland. (Why not Novobrisk?) This guy obviously has more money than sense.

Example #1: Starting a privateer F1 team in an era dominated by Factory teams.

Example #2: Trying to hire stupid Mario as it's driver. :saywhat:

Example #3: Hiring Boris Yeltsin's son (ironically named Boris) as a team executive.

Anyone want to take a bet that this thing doesn't fly?

He's actually quite serious. Trevor Carlin has been hired to be the team principle. Dallara is building the chassis. These are serious people who want a serious team.

Sure, it's a tad eccentric, but it's F1. :)

They'll be on the grid.

I doubt they'll turn a wheel, but if they do at least Minardi will have someone to race against.
