I was looking for a picture of a Renske for another thread and came across this guys web page. Sweet looking cars.

The images take awhile to load, he must be serving from his PDA. ;)

He and Phantom are quite a combination - the finished pieces are out of my price range, but I've been enjoying their work for a long time now.

Guess they haven't made drop-nose front wings for the model kit yet?

Action never made any road course ChampCar diecasts with the Lola chassis. They only made speedway models starting with the Brack. Chapparel is the best in the business of making custom 1/18 ChampCar diecasts, but you can only do so much and the the drop down front wing appears to be something that would take a new mold to do. I believe he takes the road course front wings from other Action or Minichamps diecasts and puts them on. Heck, he even grafts the raised intake parts of the sidepods and you would think they came from Action that way as with other customized parts. If you compare the Brack Lola the way it came from the factory and what Chappy converts them to, you will be blown away. I was going to have him do a deFerran Reynske for me, but I can't spend that kind of coin right now.

I hope the three amigos get some new marketing in place that will get us some new 1/18 ChampCar diecasts with the correct Lola bodies and wings. And with guys like Chapparel and Phantom, any livery can be produced. I like going to the races and having the drivers autograph their cars, but there hasn't been much new to get signed. We really need new diecasts.
