U. E. “Pat” Patrick announced today that Infineon Technologies will be a major associate sponsor of the #20 Visteon/Patrick Racing entry, driven by Oriol Servia.But what about the ROI the Indy Car Senior Tour offers?:confused:

Infineon is in business with Visteon. Thats why they're on the car. They make electronics, a lot of it for car parts.

Infineon is a memory technology company and was spun off of Siemens, much like Lexmark was spun away from IBM.

Yes, I am sure they are a supplier for Visteon as well as many, many, many other corporations. With the Factory Audi's going away in the ALMS, it is good to see that Infineon will continue with its motorsports marketing campaign.

Somebody posted a rumor on the 7G forums that a new associate sponsor for Patrick Racing was hoping to sponsor a 2nd car for the team next season, and might be on a 2nd car later this season.

Champ Cars look awesome in Silver and Black. ;)

They have been working very hard to run a second car. As late as the week after Christmas they were still holding out hope of a second car. Have not heard anything out of them since, other than Toyota trying to woo them with big dollars to do an IRL deal

One other long standing team (read Newman Haas) is leaning towards running the Indianapolis 500 on Toyota's dime (with lots of change left over, win or lose)
