There should be plenty of passing opportunities on the front straight, especially since the time limit on the Push to Pass button has been increased for this race. Tomorrow, we will have a total of three minutes to give our engines an extra 50 horsepower to use to blast past someone.

I don't see what the big deal is. In the late 1990's, all the cars had unlimited use of "the button" as they called it then.

those engines were also strung out to their very limits, not overbuilt like these rev-controlled versions

they're getting more p2p because they reduced the allowable intake manifold pressure to a maximum pressure of 39 inches of mercury absolute.
