Ok, so I'm pissed at someone and I'm not sure who. According to this story Jim Trueman's name is being dropped from the Rookie of the Year award in favor of a paying sponsor, Roushfrans.

So I'm digging around trying to find the last time they specifically called the ROY award the Jim Trueman award (last year) and I find this story:

That leads me to wonder whether the Jim Trueman ROY award wasn't a paid award from the Trueman family all along and Rahal has just influenced them to switch that money over to his karting efforts for his own benefit.

Either way someone is screwing around with the heritage of the sport and the legacy of a great man for their own benefit and it pisses me off. :flame:

I've got a feeling the IRL next week will announce the Jim Trueman ROY award.
