About 5 inches already in south Dayton. About 7 more on the way. Their calling it the most in this area in over a decade. This is what winter is all about.

We could end up with a foot here in DC when it's all said and done, then again we could only end up with 6 inches.. I'm hoping for the foot.

Our local weather man just came in and took over for the normal saturday morning lackey. He's got his jacket off so you know it's bad. Saying over a foot here by Sunday night.

Warlock, load up the sleds and come on down. I couldnt tell you where to go down here and not get arrested though.

An hour or so east of here, which is one hour east of Toronto, they are forecasting wind chills of -40/50. BTW- -40 Clyde is the same as -40 Fred, so for those of you with a sled fixation, try a fur lined cup, and bundle up warm.

God made whisky and natural gas furnaces for people like me.

OK Canucks! You have had your little joke! :p Now take all this white crap (http://www.pccruisers.com/ACK_snow.jpg) back!

It's just NOT funny anymore!

I've had enough. I don't mind the cold, but the snow... you can keep it Canada.

I vote NO for more snow. Darn near blinding on the roads right now in Indy. Slicker than snot, too.

The worst part is that that damn gopher saw his shadow.

The local weather gerbils are beinning to use the word "historic" when describing this storm. 8 inches here saturday and another 6-10 today. I have a basset hound and when I let him out, all I can see is his tail. pretty funny sight.

WOOHOO!!! 8 inches on my back porch and counting!!!!!!! Ah, um, Warlock, can I borrow one of your snowmobiles? ;)

No snow here, 'cept for the foot or so that's already here, but someone can take the -25 windchill deal and stuff it someplace.

There was a guy that ran for mayor of Toronto once, and his platform was to change the name of Toronto to Miami, so the cold weather would disappear.

I want this guy back! :gomer:

16 degrees and more snow on the way here in Indy

My skinny butt is frozen and I'm sick of shoveling this crap.

You can have the sweatin' and swattin'. I'll take 20 and snow over 90 and high humidity anyday. This is the best part of living in the mid-west. (this and the football)

Here in Madison we've had about 10 inches all winter.

I think our total for the season is over 30 inches so far with more coming tonight and tomorow.

Napoleon

We are at something between 70 and 80 inchs and are in range of beating the local season snow fall record.

Hey Warlock- I get the morning off work because of the weather. They cancelled all of our morning appointments, so my work day starts at 1pm. HA HA HA! I get a snow day!

We've had a little over 20" here NE of Philly. Drifting snow is over 4' on some roads (and the front of my garage). Still coming down but it looks like the end is in sight.

Anyone know how I can use my supply of duct tape and plastic to clear my driveway? ;)

Eh, it builds character.

Nothing worse than finishing shoveling your driveway in time for the plow guy to dump more snow at the foot of your driveway.

 ;)

I just wish we'd get enough for quality sledding.

Well over a foot so far here in Connecticut. They're predicting 20 inches by Tues AM

I measured 23inches in my back yard.. National airport only recorded about 17inches... losers. This was one hell of a storm.

We have between 1 inch and 2 feet, depending on where you measure in our backyard.

It's driving our dog nuts, because she can't find a place to do her business without disappearing into a snow drift.

Hey all you midwest and eastern folks, quit hogging all the white stuff. Send some of it out to Denver, we need it way more than you do. :)

Elmo, I just got off the phone with Red Green.

Word is, find an 8' chunk of 4x4, lay it on the edge of the plastic, and run the duct tape around it 4 or 5 times to secure it, then find a '74 Econoline, run the trailing edge of the duct tape around the bumper at each end.

Making sure you have at least 6' between the bumper and the 4x4, take the far end of the plastic tarp and duct tape it to the roof line of the Econoline, forming a parachute behind the unit.

Grab a six pack of Canadian, and some back bacon (in case the Econo breaks down), and drive like hell up and down your driveway until it is clear of snow. When you have a full pouch of snow, continue on to a parking lot, (or a neighbors driveway that you don't like), undo the duct tape from the bumper of the Econoline, (making sure to wind the tape up for re-use), and simply drive away.

Works every time. :D
