Our favorite wankers are going up to Auburn Hills and environs to "race" at the Michitucky International Speedway.

Insert all the great moments of Futility you notice here.

This thread usually takes into account all aspects of EARL futility, even though Foyt is named in the title. I like it that futility ranging from Sharp to DNF and everywhere in between is covered.

But I have to ask this... since futility beyond Foyt is covered, does this mean that this thread is sponsored by Foyt? or at least named after Foyt a la the Milwaukee event last week? Does OC get sponsorship dollars for this or is it just an evil "thread lease" arrangement?

I'll stop now... sorry.

With all the wrecking going on over at TCGR, perhaps Chip is down to the "bottom of the barrel" as far as tubs go.

going a bit off topic here......

Anyone know why (not so) Sharp hasn't moved on to sports cars or something else? He was a very good driver in Trans-Am and hasn't done much in open wheel.

Has Sharp managed to spin himself out yet?

Not DFL, but it was a rainy day. Expect AJ4 to win the anti-pole position tomorrow.

Stay tuned to the same Bat Forum on the same Bat Site for more Futility!

Mr. Ed and AJ Fore! are 16th and 17th on the grid, 4+ mph behind the pole sitter [whose pole he's sitting on, I don't want to know... ;) ]

ps: just how bad do you need to be to qualify behind the lucky ***** race twins?

All they're doing is flooring the throttle and steering. A trained chimp can qualify one of those sleds on a high banked track.

And with all the crash data Foyt has accumulated over the last 2 years courtesy of IV, he's come to the conclusion that by turning the limiter on for the whole race, the damage is limited when the inevitable occurs.

Yeah but Spicoli, Gomer Vision 1.0 has long since been superseded... gotta catch up with the times, man ;)

So, I get back from the Smokies after a week of grilling, running from black bears, andgrinding up and down hardpacked one lane road in my VR6, and wishing I had borrowed a 4x4... Rush to the Futility Thread and find that you folks forgot to wrap up Michitucky!

16 A.J. Foyt IV D/T/F 211.843 199 Running $36,000

The IRL must have a "special" rev-limiter just for these two on race day that helps keep them out of the grey and the wall.
