Hmmm... he's divorcing and yet he seems to have gotten everything of value in the house, unless of course she took off or she had expensive jewelry she took with her. The guy posting his own pix makes me wonder what other angle he's trying to work here.

Hmmm, this guy looks like an actor on the novela I watch, and women (even my mom) go completely nuts over him so I wouldn't suggest this guy go get a haircut, because it's probably working for him also. (I'm not into wearing my hair that long anymore)

Why am I doing this?

For a few reasons; first and foremost: I guess this is just a fun experiment with hopeful intentions. Honestly, I really don't even expect that this will work, or that anyone will really buy everything. Who knows? Secondly, I need a new start. I need to redo my life, and I need to put the past away. I'm not selling my memories, you can't have those. :) If I can do this, if I can find just one person willing to help me out by buying me out, I can wipe my slate totally clean; get rid of all my debt, and start new. While the prospect of having nothing for a little while scares me a little (no doubt this is rather extreme), the idea of having no bills to foot, and being able to move on with my life eclipses that fear. I'll recover, and I'll be better off. I do realize that it’s not likely that everyone finds everything listed here of great value, I hope someone with a good heart might read this and help me out.

Our boy Jonathan is clearly doing this to get a lot of attention and have some fun. He may or may not be blind to the real value of his cheesy junk in our throwaway society, but my guess would be that he totally gets it, and that is the real point that is being made, all for the price of an eBay listing.

While this is a fun way for Jonathan to gets some national attention, and maybe make a point, a survey of his toy collection reveals it's true value to be around a third of what he is asking. The car is worth around $10K, regardless of how much aftermarket junk he has hung on it, in a private sale. Less if you figure wholesale. The rest of the stuff combined wouldn't bring $5K on a "U haul it" basis where sale is confined to a small geographic region. The fact that he probably sunk well over $100,000 to get all the toys doesn't have anything to do with the divorce sale price. Sure, he could get more if he pieced it out and optimized every sale of every item, but this is, in essence, the oft referred to 'firesale'. A person with even a mid-level income would be money ahead to donate all of it to charity and take the deduction next tax season.

As for the jewelry we may speculate that the soon-to-be-ex Mrs. Jonathan has gotten in the split, it's in the very same category. I have close friend that is a jeweler, and you can't spend very long in his store without some despondant person coming in trying to sell a diamond engagement ring or some other piece of jewelry they paid $ thousands for when they were in love. When he tells them the actual wholesale value of the stones and the melt price of the metal along with directions to a pawn shop, they either go out the door in tears or furious at him and cussing up a storm. During this last economic downturn it became so depressing that he closed his store and transitioned to internet sales only. He has enough material for a thousand country western songs... ;)

Obviously he is into flash over substance if he can spend all this money to paint his dash red. Probably married a stripper. Not there is anything wrong with that.
