Ah, the Midas touch of Tony George (the "Tony Touch"?) ...

We may have just had a vision of a future finish of the Indy 500 after Toyota and Honda pull out.

Hmmmm,

Three cars running at the end. Only 9 cars at the start. Yes, the "vision" is alive and well :D

A few more finished than I thought, as this is actually a drivers track. You know yhey have to slow down, for the turns, because they are slower than the Atlantic cars, with 240BHP. Talet shows and I thougt the Tiago guy would be the only one to finish, about 5 laps ahead.

"A few more finished than I thought, as this is actually a drivers track"

You do know that these are "professional" drivers, eh?

"You know yhey have to slow down, for the turns"

Pesky turns, its turns that have ruined racing. Somebody should start a "league" where all the tracks are straight (opps, forgot about the NHRA, but would not want to slam them by comparing them to anything Tony related)

I don't know who Paul Dana is, but I'm glad to see PJ Chesson finish on the podium. There needs to be more race car drivers like PJ in racing!

Did the post race interview with the winner go something like, "What a drive, you really had the field covered, and in difficult circums - no. No, sorry, I can't do this. I just can't. This is pathetic... (reporter then shakes head and puts down microphone, walks away mumbling, leaving driver feeling even more ashamed than he already was)

9 whole cars, huh. What's the minimum number to be considered a "series"?

According to ___king Anton, you just have to be "nimble" and "flexible" when thinking of numbers. Then the nice man from Japan comes over and explains how it all works anyway. :gomer:

Then one day, the man from Japan leaves, and .... well ...... you'll see soon. ;)

Remember when the IRL had a hissy fit over the field of 12 that the Lights series supplied?

That was the last year for Indy Lights. The official announcement had not been made yet but it well known in the industry even at the beginning of the year so no new teams came out and others just shut down.

Oh hey, wait a minute... do you think.....? :D

Isn't Roger Baily, the guy who headed up Lights (who CART canned), running IPS now?

I know Bill Dana portrayed a "wanna be" astronaut.

It appears Paul Dana is portraying a "wanna be" racer
