A birth certifcate and a drivers license should do it; a passport makes life a lot easier...

In the good old days you could get through with just a drivers, but I doubt you could do that now; at least not without a lot of hassle. In lieu of a passport, just bring everything you've got.

Would it be a good idea to bring bikes? I dont know how accommodating the track layout is, or if we would even use them, enough to warrant the hassle of bringing them up from Portland...

I'd say no... The pedestrian areas are usually pretty plugged up, they'd be way more of a hassle than they're worth.

They'd be great away from the track though. Lots of places to cycle; a trip around the seawall in Stanley Park would be nice...
