Hey Minardi, we all know you're gonna finish last all the time....so why dont you try to get some press by running qualifying on virtually no fuel, and try to start as high as you can. And when your car comes in a lap later to put in fuel, you can just run a two-stop fuel load... you'll still finish last, but at least you'll get some press....

It wouldn't make any difference. They are still too slow! :(

Didn't they finally get a point the last race?

In a world where F1 costs SOO freeking much to run, how Minardi still exists with one of the worst records (aside from a team like Andrea Moda or Simtek) is baffling. Yes they are a great stepping stone for future champs into F1, But I could only imagine if Stoddard took a year off, spent all the money he wastes racing on testing and developing a killer car and picking up some customer Ferrari engines, hire back someone like Jos the Bos, and get a few decent finishes instead of dragging ass at the back.

I know its not that simple but I would have tossed myself off the roof of the paddock by now!

Minardi is WAY better than Anrea Moda...I don't think they even had engines that started...Simtek was a cool team with potential that was gone too soon. I kinda like Minardi, remember Herta's comments after testing a Minardi? He thought the car was spectacular....

oh ya Andrea Moda was a disaster. Simtek lost its wind when it lost Roland Ratzenberger. I have a special place in my heart for Minardi too, but its gtta suck to be the losingest team in F1 history.

As for Herta Testing a Minardi, any F1 car these days is spectacular... ;)

I will not write to much at this moment, because as an emormous Minardi fan the resulting tirade would no doubt result in my banning.

However I will say: The same chassis is the being used for the 3rd year in a row, the engine is down 100+hp to Ferrari and 50hp to Jordan. But even with all that, Minardi still acheive 96% of the front teams performance's on 10% of the budget.

that's like saying the casino gives back 96 cents on every dollar it collects. in the end, you still lose :)

but i understand your point, it certainly puts the amounts of money spent into perspective.
