Questo weekend la Champ Car World Series ha vissuto la corsa in notturna su ovale di Milwaukee, la "Hunter Reay 250", visto il dominio incontrastato di Ryan...Poche ore più avanti, il DTM ha corso al Lausitzring, con il successo di Gary Paffett.
Nella prossima stagione, l'Eurospeedway potrebbe tornare a ospitare una corsa della Champ Car World Series, come è già accaduto nel 2001 e l'anno passato, l'11 maggio, con il ritorno al volante di Alessandro Zanardi.
Hans Jorg Fischer, responsabile dell'Eurospeedway Lausitz, ha confermato la questione, parlando di "contatti più che avviati" con l'Open Wheel Racing Series. Se ci sarà una CART 2005, probabilmente farà tappa in Europa nello splendido ed imponente catino tedesco. Dove è sempre stato successo di pubblico (80 mila spettatori nei due appuntamenti).
