88 - 1 Alex Barron, Red Bull Cheever Racing. Alex chosen over ole' whatshisname Buddy Rice! Now learning at the knee of the master, 1998 Indy chump Eddie Cheesers. Barron is a very talented shoe, but has shown a tendency to lose the backend this season. While curious minds want to know, we sure as hell dont want to bet. Be Safe Alex

Now learning at the knee of the master...

Top notch Tippster!!

An IRL classic, without the Freddy Nation spin. Tony, get rid of Freddie and hire Tippy! :D

Not only is it very funny and extremely well written, it is right on the money with regards to the drivers mentioned as well.

"Mr Gomez, a long time railbird amongst the Speedway set, will now handicap an already handicapped field to give you, our loyal readers, a better understanding of just whom may ride the sacred yard of bricks into immorality.

I like the odds on Buddy Lazier and some others: 497.5 to 1.

Alot of work went into that..thanks, Tippy.

I don't want to see Freddie replaced, though..he's invaluable.

Absolute freaking classic

Some of my favorates:

"Kosuke is the reason the IRL was founded. Searching internet for career stats yielded little other than some naked Japanese teenagers!"

"Super quick qualification run suprised only the retarded."

Nice. This is the first tiime I've actually seen the complete lineup this year. Thanks for the invaluable service Tippy ! ! !

I have taken to alternate activities on Memorial Day after PT got shafted. Last year I backpacked in 3' of snow in the Flattops, this year it is snowshoeing up Quandary and riding my snowboard down.

Like Kellner says: "Imagine there's no Indy, it's easy if you try." (or something like that).

Great stuff, Tippy! Too many good ones to just chose a few for special mention, but the Mo Nunn commentary was the best for me.

The Chet Fillip Award is the most priceless. He was made for the IRL.

Mr. Gomez

Are you planning to interview that great auto racing fanatic and actor that will be pointing the pace car this year? If you have trouble locating him you might ask Mrs. Cougar.

Between Bifs Indy rundown last year and Tippys this year, I am not sure I can pick a favorite but both were truly outstanding efforts.
