The kid just turned three, for christmas my sister bought him a cheap three piece drum set, he loves it, sits on the stool and runs the foot pedal and all. Today he took his big lincoln log bucket, turned it over and is using it as a floor tom, all on his own, even put it in the right spot. I don't know anything about drums he is picking this up on his own, pretty cool stuff.

One of the guys at work has a 12 yo son who plays drums in a band. They will play at local venues and he is starting to play allot of Rush. He told me about a year ago his kid mastered Moby Dick by Led Zeppelin, and it's amazing. Dad is in a band too, I guess the musical talent runs in the family there.

Keep encouraging him.

He should be learning guitar - the lead guitarist always gets the chicks and the drummer always just gets the left overs ;) :p
